Legionella Bacteria enter the lungs by inhaling tiny droplets of water, aerosols, and steam, which occur during showering. So, unnoticed dangerous bacteria penetrate the human body. They can cause a severe fatal infection. Therefore, these bacteria must be stopped. That can be done in a simple and very productive way by connecting the shower tube to the Legionella save Filter from QFlow B.V. The water then flows first through the built ultra-filter that stops all the bacteria.
Interchangeable ultra-filter
To make sure the filter provides optimal protection, it can be replaced before the pores of the filter become clogged. By loosening the hose swivel, the filter element can exchange without problems. When to exchange the filter is depending on the water hardness and water quality.
Pore size 0.085 µM
Legionella bacteria are bar-shaped with a diameter of 0.3 to 0.9 µm and a length of 2 to 30µm. They, therefore, cannot penetrate through the structure of the ultra-filter since that is 0.015 microns. Despite this extremely fine structure, the water will flow through it effortlessly. The water pressure should be at least 0.5 bar and a maximum 6.0 bar.

Application

Protection
The QFlow Legionella-safe Hand Shower, designed to easily and quickly create a protective (temporary) solution in places where a concentration of Legionella bacteria was detected higher than the legally permitted limit of 100 CFU (Colony Forming Units) or in areas where effective permanent use protection would be used to prevent contamination.
Ease of use
The Legionella-safe Hand Shower does not only offer protection against the dangerous Legionella bacteria. It also provides shower comfort. The pattern of holes in the shower-head creates a perfect shape of the water jet. With the (mixed) valve regulates the temperature and the force of the water jet.

QFlow B.V Hand Shower
The Hand showers come in White and Chrome and are universal; they can be used in institutions and homes, with a longer lifetime with due to the new membrane technology.
The handle/filter can safely be exchanged 100% secure. In similar hand showers with exchangeable filters that can be reinserted, the contaminated water may flow through the filter. By mounting the membranes directly into the Handle (as we do), this cannot happen.
How does the Hand Shower work
In shower-head Handle, we placed a Legionella free filter. It is designed as such that it fits flawlessly in the Handle of the shower-head. This unique connection between the Handle and the head shower ensures that the filter housing forms a watertight seal on the Handle of the shower-head.
